Lincoln Education Center:

Terese LaDue

Terese loves kids. She comes to work each day ready to take on whatever the day may bring. She works well with children, parents and other professionals. She is experienced, prepared, flexible, caring and always a professional. It has been an honor to work with her as part of the Early Childhood Special Education team and I can't think of anyone more deserving of the title of "Teacher of the Year."

Area Learning Center:

Todd Jackson

Todd develops excellent relationships with his students, which can be a very difficult task at the ALC. He maintains control over his class in high-energy situations. Todd is approachable, which can not be said about every PE teacher.

High School:

Wendy Fritz

Wendy has been amazing for our lower ability students. She has provided a class where they truly learn how to prepare for future employment. She has set up wonderful work sites for students in the community to further their skills. She has most recently taken over the school store as an onsite job experience for students.

Middle School:

Courtney Henderson

Courtney is very knowledgeable in her field of study. However, her ability to make the normal appear fun and exciting is where she stands out. Her creative energy flows and shows in her work with kids. She is incredibly professional. She seeks out the BEST ways to teach and searches and reads academic literature for ways to better her students. She is passionate about what she does, and she cares about kids. She inquires about their interests in a honest, caring way. She works so hard to ensure that all students learn the information she is presenting. She will NOT GIVE UP on anyone!

Rossman:

Deb Tucker

Deb is so professional and always looks out for her students. Before any IEP, we get a sheet to fill out on the student, and ALL teachers involved and get to weigh in on strengths and weaknesses that we have observed. She will come in for clarification on items that have been mentioned. She has a wonderful working relationship with her students and staff. If ever there are problems with one of her students, she is on top of it right away. She gives suggestions to staff, when asked, while advocating for her students. She is also involved in EMDL and is always there to assist staff. I really enjoy working with Deb.

Roosevelt:

Karilee Traurig

Karilee consistently and genuinely shows interest in each of her students. She strives to differentiate her instruction for each child and sets both clear and high expectations. Karilee focuses not only on academics but on the personal social/emotional growth of her students as well. She deserves to be recognized for all of her hard work, effort, collaboration and extra time she spends in order to help her students achieve. Plus she has a ton of fun in her room while teaching. She is a hard worker, team player, great leader and most importantly cares deeply for all her students. I've enjoyed working with and around her. She's positive and great at problem solving.
